On Thursday, March 18, 2004, Teresa Kay-Aba Kennedy spoke at an event entitled "Virtuous Women: Beauty, Courage and Strength" at the Elmhust Hospital Center in New York. It was an exhibition in celebration of Women's History Month presented by The Queens Health Network and the Queens Counsil on the Arts. Terri spoke to the doctors, artists, and invited guests about the "S.O.S. Syndrome(tm)," a term she coined which relates to the three major roadblocks to success: Stress, Old Habits and Self-Esteem.

She led a discussion on "The True Nature of Success" and offered life insights and stress management tips to the students at this Harlem-based public school. The school offers an innovative, academically rigorous curriculum, a mandatory extended school day and year, and a broad array of enrichment opportunities.
